How to browse/explore or transfer files over wlan on Android [Free]

Want to transfer files to or from your Android device but don’t have a cable near by? Here is the trick to transfer files over wifi using free softwares (we cover both the tricks to transfer from computer to Android Device, and from Android Device to your computer).

1) Explore or transfer files on your Android device from computer:

Download SwiFTP FTP Server (available in Market for free) on your Android Device. It enables FTP access on your mobile so that you can transfer or browse files on your Android Device from your computer just by entering FTP address in your file explorer (eg. open "My Computer" and put the FTP address in the address bar).

It does not require Internet access or any software on computer and provides full control like you have using USB cable.

2) Explore or transfer files on your Computer from your Android device:

Download ES File Explorer (available in Market for free) on your Android Device. From top left corner (it must be writen Local), click it to select LAN and then click on search button to find computers available on Wireless LAN over wifi. From there you can access the shared folders on computers and transfer the files by long pressing on the file and selecting copy.

It too does not require internet access or any software on computer and is available for free.
